from the liability arising out of the rendering of, or failing to render, professional services. It is designed to transfer the risk of liability for errors and mistakes made by a representative of your company that causes financial harm to another person, business, or organization. This type of liability exposure is not generally covered under standard Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies or Business Owners Policies (BOP). Some professionals are required to carry this insurance, while others opt to carry it as added protection.
